But will it last?
New Year resolutions can be like as Mary Poppins suggested , “piecrust promises. Easily made, easily broken.”
However if you are sticking to them then well done.
If you are beginning to falter then stick to it. It’s only normal to have doubts.
If you have given up then maybe you were too ambitious but no harm in trying again.
My number one tip when it comes to resolutions is this-
Don’t try to do it all by yourself. Get support it will make it a lot easier and when you can achieve one goal who is to say you can’t achieve another and another and another…
I’m not fat but I’m no “Men’s Health” front page model. However to people wanting to lose weight and more importantly change they way they think and feel about food, I’m a slim Jim and no mistake.
But does is matter?
Sure I wouldn’t be too keen to visit a dentist who had rotten teeth but I know plenty of doctors who live quite an unhealthy lifestyle, but I’d still respect their medical expertise.
So is it ok for therapists to be overweight smokers who hate spiders and flying?
Or is it just a case it’s all about the results so the therapist doesn’t have to walk the walk as long as they can talk the talk?
Just reading an article about how the major cigarette companies are expanding into the e-gig market , sure they are entitled to make a living, right?
Apparently young, current smokers are trying them to quit traditional cigarettes. As I have pointed out before smoke if you want to, hopefully you live in a free country with free will to do so. But be aware that your swapping one habit for another and the substitute still contains nicotine, so you are not free from it. And the big tobacco companies know this so expect massive marketing campaigns for E-cigs as they pursue your hard earned cash before the market is properly regulated.
However a point that I found incredible is that there at least 7700 flavours of the vapour / nicotine-emitting devices available online.
How is this even possible, when I was growing up you were lucky to get three flavours of ice cream – vanilla, chocolate and strawberry….
Came across this which is interesting given the number of people who view these products as a safe option – it’s all in the marketing I guess?
No Ifs, No Butts, E-cigarettes Are Cancerous
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 5 December 2013
E cigarettes, touted by many as a safe form of smoking fills the body with carcinogens and can harm a persons breathing claims Tim Smale, clinical Hypnotherapist.
“Every month more research comes out about E – cigarettes and it is never good. The latest one carried out by France’s National Consumers Institute in May 2013 correctly identified that three out of the ten products tested, the levels of the carcinogenic compound formaldehyde was almost the same as a conventional cigarette.” Stated Smale.
“What’s worse is that the highly toxic molecule Acrolein was also detected in the vapours of e-cigarettes, sometimes at levels even higher than in traditional cigarettes.’ Continued Smale
“Your body doesn’t need nicotine to survive. Nicotine adds nothing. Smokers are being exploited for money in the most cynical way – and genuinely at the cost of their lives. You don’t need nicotine when you are born. Hypnotherapy can stop the urge at source. To stop smoking you simply need to reprogram your brain at an unconscious level to stop thinking about it, not find a different way of taking in nicotine”
“No ifs, No butts, Hypnotherapy can stop you smoking,” stated Smale.
